Each month a student will be selected at Monona Grove High School as the Student of the Month. The student is selected by staff at the high school. The criteria for selection is based on the Optimist Creed, identifying a student who meets or exceeds the Creed by their actions in their every day lives. At the end of each year, one of the monthly winners will be selected as Student of the Year and will receive a cash award. This program began with a selection in October, 2006.
